Hiya! My name is Beth Hilliard and I'm an Illustration student at Nottingham Trent University!
As part of my MA final project, I've created an 'immersive illustration' where I invite people to touch, play and explore to find the story in my paper sculptures, or to make up their own. I really believe that getting to touch and feel something beyond a flat surface or a passive glance is so important to people, so I've really enjoyed giving audiences the opportunity to 'break the rules' and fully interact with my paper flowers and their tiny residents, the Pekuls! I've been creating paper flowers for around nine years, and inking funny little guys for much longer, so it's been such a joy to bring the two together and make something much bigger than I've ever attempted before.
